As part of Catalyst we will have a ‘mission’ month where all Catalyst members will have the opportunity to go on a ‘mission’ trip within UK, Europe or Worldwide. Trips may include Madagascar, France, South Korea and closer to home; Manchester, Birmingham.
Depending on which trip you would like to take, you will have to finance part of the trip before you arrive. The amount you will have to pay will depend on the location you choose for your mission.

As part of Catalyst GO! you will also fundraise with the community to help cover the costs of the trip. If you are accepted for Catalyst programme we will send you details of how to pay for your mission trip. Below are some of the examples of Catalyst Go trips coming up.
Catalyst GO! Worldwide
8 days in Madagascar, taking part in village life from harvesting rice to leading worship in the local church. You may also find yourself teaching a geography class about your home country, running afternoon clubs and games for school children.
The trip will end with a sports youth event followed by a huge bonfire with a time of worship and testimonies around the fire.
While in Madagascar you will enjoy one day of tourism, exploring a Lemur park, eating in a restaurant together followed by a bustling market in Moramanga. IT will be a tiring but life-changing adventure.
Join a team travelling to Israel, visiting the places that we read about in the bible, encounter communities and people who are working out the gospel of peace; bringing healing and reconciliation to broken relationships. The week will include visits to Jerusalem, Nazareth and Tel-Aviv, accommodation will be basic but comfortable, you may even get to put your toes in the Mediterranean Sea! The trip will partner with various organisations in Israel.
Catalyst GO! Europe
Come and spend a long weekend in a conference centre / sheep farm in the beautiful countryside of Latvia.
You will get to join a Youth event that starts with a 50km bike ride followed by worship and teaching, help with gardening and cleaning to get the site ready for summer camps and get involved in a local church service on Sunday. Before coming back to England you will also go and see historic Riga and enjoy some local food.
Join a group traveling to Germany to spend 5 days helping out at a christian campsite near the nature park Uckermärkische Seen.
During your time there you will be doing practical things like cleaning, clearing, cooking and gardening as well as prayer walking/swimming/canoeing, leading small worship session and bible studies and help organise a worship bonfire evening for local Christians.
You will also get to go on a day trip to Ravensbrueck concentration camp where Corrie ten Boom was held.
Drive across England, onto a Ferry and into France to join the brilliant team at the Bethanie Prayer House and home of the Bless Network. While there you will join in with the community rhythm, eat great food, serve the local refugee community and pray for Europe. Gerrard and Krissie Kelly lead the community and will be your hosts.

House of Prayer Sunderland
Head to the North East of England for a week of serving alongside the team at House of Prayer Europe. Pray and worship, serve the local community and put faith in to practice. Missional Community in Lincolnshire
Join Pete and Kath Atkins in their Missional Community in Rural Lincolnshire staying at their converted barn. Help with prayer & worship leading for daily prayer rhythms, serve at the local cafe, help with the local community Bible study and eat lots of Kath’s cake!

Farming in the Lakes
Join David and Hattie Kelly on Over Elf Howe Farm in the stunning mountains of the Lake District. While you are there you’ll help with lambing, feeding the sheep, long-horned cattle, chickens and generally learn about what it takes to run a sustainable small-holding. Betel - Recovery community
Betel is a Christian drug and alcohol recovery community. You will be serving alongside their amazing team in their gardens team, furniture shop & helping with housekeeping. Leading daily Bible studies and helping support recovering drug and alcohol addicts. http://www.betel.uk/
